A certified credit counselor will review your budget with you. Your counselor鈥檚 recommendations will be made based on your specific financial situation.
You are under no obligation to enroll in a debt management plan (DMP) in order to receive counseling. A DMP is a creditor-approved plan that enables you to pay off your unsecured credit card debt(s), often at a reduced rate and with reduced or no fees.
Fees to enroll in a DMP are regulated by the states.聽
There may be fees for services such as bankruptcy-related services (including certificates and education courses) and other non-credit-counseling sessions (such as credit reviews and financial education).
